How Clover Vet Is Serving Animals, Families, and Communities
For the team at Clover Vet, veterinary care is about more than treating animals. The practice has built its reputation around compassion, close relationships, and serving others both inside and outside the clinic.
“Clover Vet is a small-town, privately owned veterinary clinic that truly feels like family. Our mission has always been to provide compassionate, high-quality care while treating every client and patient with kindness and respect,” says Lacie Linwood, Office Manager and Customer Service Representative.
That mission shows up in many ways, from taking extra time with a worried pet owner to helping families facing financial hardship and serving communities beyond the clinic.
Care That Stays Personal
As Clover Vet has grown, maintaining that personal approach has remained important.
The practice has added another veterinarian and expanded its team, allowing it to serve more families while preserving the close relationships that have defined Clover Vet.
For Lacie, one of the most rewarding parts of that growth has been watching team members develop alongside the practice.
“I’ve had the privilege of watching young women join our team at the beginning of their careers and grow into confident, knowledgeable professionals. Seeing their personal and professional growth has been incredibly special.”
That sense of care is something BNA CPA Ashley Taylor has also seen firsthand.
“They are always welcoming, ask about my animals, and even send me pictures of cute dogs. It’s those personal connections that make working with them so enjoyable.”
Beyond the Clinic
Clover Vet’s commitment to service has also taken the team far beyond its own community.
The practice has participated in veterinary mission trips to Honduras and Belize, providing care to animals and families who otherwise may not have had access to veterinary services. The experiences became some of the team’s proudest accomplishments and were made even more meaningful by support from their local community, which helped send the team on both trips.
“Those experiences were life-changing for our team. We had the opportunity to provide veterinary care to families and animals who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it, and seeing the gratitude and joy on their faces was something we’ll never forget,” says Lacie.
Closer to home, Clover Vet continues that commitment by supporting local rescues and recently hosting a vendor event benefiting a local animal rescue.
Looking ahead, the team hopes to participate in a mission trip within the state so it can continue giving back closer to home.
Behind the Numbers
As Clover Vet has grown, its financial needs have evolved too. BNA’s Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) and Tax teams work together throughout the year to give the practice a clearer view of both where the business stands today and what its decisions could mean down the road.
Senior CAAS Advisor Lauren Mathis works closely with Lacie through monthly financial reviews, helping her understand what is driving the practice’s results, from inventory purchases to the impact of adding another veterinarian. That timely financial information also helps Ashley provide more proactive tax planning to the owners.
“We’re helping Lacie understand what’s happening in the business today, while our CPA team is thinking ahead about the tax implications of those decisions. Because we’re communicating regularly, we work together behind the scenes so they receive consistent advice and can focus on running the practice,” says Lauren.
That collaboration has helped Clover Vet navigate growth, transition to cloud-based platforms including Xero and Gusto, and establish retirement plans that provided tax savings while helping the owners plan for the future.
“BNA truly feels like an extension of our team. They care about our success, are always available when we need them, and make even the complicated parts of running a business feel manageable,” says Lacie.
What Comes Next
As Clover Vet looks ahead, the team plans to continue growing while staying true to the values that have defined the practice from the beginning.
That includes supporting local rescues, hosting community events, strengthening relationships with customers, and finding new opportunities to serve both locally and beyond.
No matter how much we grow, our goal will always remain the same: to serve others with compassion, provide exceptional veterinary care, and make a positive difference in the lives of both people and their pets.
