A Culinary Kickoff to Tax Season

The 2025 tax season is officially underway, and our BNA team kicked it off in style with a fun and flavorful outing to The Foodie School in Fort Mill, SC. Known for its unique, hands-on cooking experiences, The Foodie School offered us the perfect opportunity to step out of the office and into the kitchen to learn, laugh, and share a delicious meal together.

What's Cooking? Tapas Party Menu Highlights

At The Foodie School, you don’t just follow a recipe—you create it! Whether you’re a culinary novice or a seasoned home chef, their talented instructors guide you through every step of the cooking process. We embraced the challenge of preparing a "Tapas Party" menu, which included:

Vegetable Summer Rolls with Spicy Peanut Sauce, which were both fresh and flavorful.
Potato and Serrano Croquettes with Romesco Sauce, offering a satisfying crunch and bold taste.
Smoky Grilled Shrimp Skewers, which added a touch of zest to the meal.
Churros with Spicy Chocolate Sauce, ending the menu on a sweet, indulgent note.

Teamwork and Tasty Creations

Relaxing Before the Class

Before diving into the cooking, we relaxed with wine, beer, and snacks in their welcoming space. This pre-class time allowed us to unwind and bond as a team, setting the tone for a fun and interactive experience.

‍Once we tied on our aprons, the chefs led us through the hands-on class, teaching us tips, tricks, and techniques to elevate our cooking skills. As we moved through each step, the excitement grew. From expertly rolling summer rolls to perfecting the texture of creamy croquettes, every task felt rewarding.
